Founded in 1979, Immanuel Christian School celebrated its 40th anniversary this past year. We have grown from less than 90 students to 150 students in the past 4 years! We are located in downtown Hazleton and serve a culturally and economically diverse student body in grades K–12. Every employee at Immanuel Christian School furthers our mission.

Literacy Intervention Specialist for Grades 1–6  |  Full-Time

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field with PA certification

  • Experience working with ELL students. Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus. 

  • Self-motivated, energetic, organized, flexible individual

  • Display strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills

  • Ability to use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction

  • Must be able to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs

Recess Game Coordinator  |  Part-Time

Requirements

  • Position schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday; 9:00AM–11:00AM. Commitment is 1–2 days per week. We will hire several people to fill this position.

  • Self-motivated, energetic, organized, flexible individual who desires to engage children in fun games in both outdoor and indoor recess settings. Experience leading church Awana games or Youth Group games is helpful.

Immanuel Christian School Thrift Store Manager  |  Full-Time, 40+ hours plus benefits

Immanuel Christian School provides a financially accessible, grace-filled, quality Christ-centered education to students in the Greater Hazleton area. Many students who attend come from low-income families and the proceeds from the Thrift Store help to fund scholarships for these students. We are a 501c3 organization and every employee of the school and the store furthers our mission.   • Experience in retail setting (5 years)

  • Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus

  • Days, evenings, and some Saturdays required. Store is closed on Sunday.
